Somfy is a French company founded in 1969 and one of the largest manufacturers of controllers and drives for gates, garage doors, window blinds and awnings. Somfy is a member of the Connectivity Standards Alliance and is working to implement the Matter standard via a bridge, although no Matter‑certified products have been announced yet.
Somfy motors bring luxury and convenience to Highlands homes. We install motorised roller blinds, Roman blinds and outdoor awnings that can be controlled via remote, smartphone or voice. Somfy’s quiet motors protect fabrics and ensure smooth operation, while sun and wind sensors automatically adjust shading. We integrate Somfy with Home Assistant or KNX to coordinate blinds with lighting and climate control—for example, lowering blinds to reduce afternoon heat gain. Our team also retrofits garage doors and gates with Somfy operators, providing secure access and remote monitoring.
